Apocolypse Shmocolypse

I have been watching these solar backpacks for a while now and for those of you who have never heard of this allow me to enlighten you: the basic idea is to put a couple little soft and flexible solar panels on the back of the standard size day pack.  This has been useless for me because I have no use for a small pack as I prefer a more versatile size that I can load up more than a day pack or less should I desire.  Not to mention that I am a picky SOB when it comes to pack construction and would prefer to attach panels on my own choice of pack.  That is exactly what I just stumbled across.  On top of the obvious advantage of being able to don the panels on whatever you want they are also way flippin bigger than any of the integrated systems I have seen.  From the looks of it I'd say its not a bad rain cover either.  Id say that for gadget junkies like myself who would rather not depend on the civilized world for important things like music and entertainment this is a must have.

What about throw away battery powered stuff though.  Not everything can be charged by USB right...Wrong,  with the new USB chargeable batteries we are totally ready to go off the grid, or keep jamming long after the zombie apocalypse.  In the post apocalyptic movie 'Eli' Denzel Washington carried a heavy motor cycle battery around with him so he could keep on jamming with his ancient ipod.  In the end that battery got him killed.  Not me I'm going to be light weight when I put the zombies in the rear-view.  Check out some photos of this awesome gear below and at http://www.solarbackpacking.com/ and www.usbcell.com

I am pretty sure the girl is not included, sorry.
