I am all about combining things and prioritizing to keep the weight of the necessities down to a minimum and now this little bugger has made a portable fan (below) a bit more practical. I have never had a fan before as I just couldn't justify the additional weight and batteries, but now with the solar packs and iPhones hearty little battery this has become realistic. For those of us cruising the tropics its just a matter of time before you end up in a hut smack on the equator with no electricity and of course no electric fan.
